Well made my second run in the new Rubi today. Was a blast, I was repeatedly impressed with how capable a stock Rubicon is, took on and demolished some serious obstacles that i would never have dreamed a stock rubi could do.

Well, I'm me. ::)
That's why I use my name as my name and wear my work shirt. Well, it's not my REAL last name but it's what people know me by. I don't think it's a good idea to have your full name floating around on the interweb.

I want to thank everyone for taking time out of their weekend to help in the CC cleanup effort today! . :yes: I think we ended up summiting 18 names of members who signed releases to work. Not bad for our first CC cleanup!. I also wanted to thank those who made it out for a fun afternoon of wheeling. Even StvDiego and his driver 4x4grey88 made a camieo showing. Great to see ya up and moving Steve. Jeffm1964 (Trail Boss) had all the work finished up and we were on the trails wheeling by about 1:00. I Think the longest drive for the clean up was from O'Side which we had Brink, and Matt make that trip. And DavidWymore got his beast up the hill from El Centro, good work guys and a special thanks for the long haul and dedication. I really want to give special props to hurleyup and jeffm1969 for letting me rid shot gun with you guys. Very impressive rigs you guys have and thanks again. I will post up some pics in a little bit. Thanks again to everyone

It was absolutely one of the funnest days I have had out there in CC. Was able to experiense some new trails and get more familiar w/ the place. Just need to touch-up w/ a little black paint tomorrow and you wouldn't even know I went wheeling! Thanks for everyone showing up. Have to go get the diesel fuel-exhaust smell out of my XJ. I wonder who that was from!

Good to meet everyone. Sorry that I could not make the runs with you all, perhaps next time.
Great Pics......Someone will have to explain them (why the hammer and broken tail light, etc.)

While back I broke a leaf spring so I just removed it and the same one from the other side. Lowered the front a bit, made it ride better. Problem is, it was the leaf that had the clips that keep the leaves lined up in a stack, so now sometimes they have to be realigned. :hammer: I came down off a rock face and put the clutch in at the bottom letting it roll forward faster than I should have aroudn the corner. Didn't see the 3' boulder on the pass side. Pass rear tire hit it hard, sending the back of the truck up, across the trail into a tree. I'm awesome. EDIT: next time we go, I'll show you the tree. Someone should have heard it with all that junk (shovels axe sledge hilift spare) slamming around back there.

I won't mention how many trees that may have been slightly "relocated" going up the 5 trail by his rig.

Backing up around corners and over hills is not easy in that tank. I need rear steer!
