I bought my jeep with all the goodies that I wanted but I'm having trouble talking over my CB. Here is what happens: If I have my car radio on and try to talk through the cb this high pitch noise comes on. If I turn off the radio then it will work fine. Just wondering what you guys thought? It is mounted on the passenger side next to the shifter. I'm not good at wiring so any help would be appreciated. Also where is a good place to hard wire at?

I agree right now your power is tied into something that there is feedback on, move your power lead to a cleaner attachment point. Going to your fuse box is usually a cleaner attachment point. When I installed my CB I went to the fuse box and have had no feedback from the alternator or radio.

Good deal. I think whoever wired it plugged the hot wire into the amp.

I finally pulled up the carpet to track the wires that power the cb. The wires is hard wired in the dash somewhere behind the stereo and air conditioning knobs. So I have to take apart the dash to figure out where it is wired to. ~poo ~hang

I would like to give a big thanks to Jim Flynn (Jims469)for fixing my CB issue. I helped him take the dash apart so we could figure out where the power source was and it was powered by the cigarette lighter. We cut down the CB power and ground wires so we did not have a ton of access wire. We figured out that the noise was coming from the speaker and amp wires were crossing over the antenna cable. We seperated the antenna cable from the speaker and amp wires and solved the problem. Again a HUGE thanks to Jim for helping me out ~excl
