 i was wanting to run a 2HP Electric motor for a compressor. How do I figuer that in Watts as in Inverter Size. 1000W, 1500W, Etc. Any "Electricians" out there.

amps x volts = watts.

so if the motor is 110v and draws 10 amps you are looking at 1100 watts, appx.  So to be safe you would need a 2000 watt inverter at the absolute minimum. It would be better and safer to either get a gas powered compressor or a generator.
