On the 31st around 11:30 DavidWymore and his friends showed up with two trailers full of christmas trees. We unloaded the trees and stacked the trees on top of each other until the pile reached about 10 feet tall and I'm guessing around 20 feet in diameter. David lite the trees on fire around 11:45 pm and it dwarft the other camps fires. Everyone came out of their camps to check out the massive fire. At midnight most of the camps shot off fireworks. Round 9am the next morning jeffm1964 arrived at the campsite. Jims469's family and Myself along with tagalonggal got everything loaded up and was ready to go to Sandstone Canyon. Jeff, Jim and Myself headed out to wheeler road to pick up charlie another wheeler that wanted to come. We then headed down Poll Line Road and found some puddles/mud to play in. After we were done playing in the mud we started to head to the railroad tracks when then JeffM1964 broke a lower shock mount. We then stopped and Jeff took his rear driverside shock off and put his spring back in place. After that was done we took a left to head to the railroad tracks. After arriving at the railroad tracks we went north and eventually arrived at split mountain road. We turned left and went through Split Mountain and proceeded to fish creek. About a mile and a half into Sandstone Canyon there is a pole in the middle of thrail that closes traffic from going any farther and that you need to hike the rest of the way back into sandstone canyon. We all decided that we should turn around and head back to camp. It was a nice day and there wasn't that many people out there for New Years. The pictures of the tree pile didn't really turn out well. Here are some pictures of the tree pile on fire and some from Sandstone Canyon.

It was fun getting out there for New Years weekend. I was shocked at how quite it was for a holiday weekend. David really did an amazing job with the trees. Everybody talked for hours and the fire was still going at 2 am!!! The run to Sandstone Canyon was pretty cool. With all the rain we had there were some rock slides and a few more rocks on the ground then normal! There was just enough mud for everybody to have their fun! Thanks everybody for a wonderful weekend/ run!

Guys that was a fun weekend we will have to do that again, Just ordered my fuel injection system for my CJ and will be bringing that next time.  Will say that I had a lot of fun seeing what my Ranger would do.  Took it to the top of sand dam and all over superstition.
