76 4x shorty project

Anybody out there know if and when you need to modify your transfercase and drive line angles when lifting? I want to lift my van to fit 44's but am concerned about excessive angles and so-forth. I'm not to worried about over arched springs in front, which is a normal problem with the vans. My front springs are longer on the van than they are on my wifes 4x4 Suburban. Any ideas?

I'm going to guess you will have the same issues putting 44s on your van that anyone would.  The engine on your van sits right above the axle in the same place my Blazer does.  I think your wheel openings are probably smaller though.  So without fender trimming you would actually have to go higher with the lift than I would.  Unless you did some trimming.  There are a few sites with 4x van information but not many.

Driveshaft angles get tough at 6" of lift.

I have 44s on my blazer with about 4" of lift.  lots of sheetmetal cutting.
