I might get my hands on some Super Duty axles. The front dana 50 would be plenty for a Jeep and if you ran wheels spaced in it wouldn't be toooo wide. Wider axles = less body damage. I have a 60 rear with a Detroit too.

I'd do it when work picks back up. I've got a few bucks saved up for new build in the future smog exempt cj8 tub with title or just a title.  Cheers

The problem with a Dana 50 is it has a Dana 44 ring & pinion. So if you go larger then 37" tires you will start breaking the ring and pinion. Even with 37"  tires you will can still break the ring and pinion if you have a heavy right foot.

Incorrect. Everything in a 50 is between the size of a 44 and 60. No 44 parts. The weak point is the pinion shaft. I talked to tri county gear about it. With 35 spline shafts and ARB, should be fine on a J33P on 37s.

Hmm, guess he told me wrong or I remembered wrong. I thought I had read specs somewhere else that put the 50 in between too. Oh well.

Figured out how I mixed it up. D50 TTB is 9" ring gear...

That is why when you buy a dana 60 front you have to really look at the axle becuase you can end up with a Dana 50.
