I spent a few minutes tonight making one shifter out of the parts donated by Dave Wymore and Pete. As it turns out two sticks look better than one. Plus it makes it allot simpler to hook up.

I'd be curious to see how you made that. my K-5 has an issue with the t-case shifter... it doesn't want to go into 2 wheel. it will get 4 hi, 4 low, and neutral. for some reason it ends up in neutral when i try for 2wd. i think it is the shifter but I'm not sure yet. it has the NP-205 i think...

This is basically what I did... http://www.holodeckdesigns.com/77GMC/203ts/203tsbuild.html  Seems to work nice and smooth. I have a converted full time 4x4 so i guess its in or out on the driver side stick and high, Neutral, and low on the passanger side stick.

Last night Dave came by the shop and helped me get a plan together for the body swap on the fsj to K5 frame. After some thought we got it off the rack in the front yard and cleaned out the interior. We then took out several of the body mount bolts and called it a night. I kept it in running order so that i could move it around the shop and yard if I needed to today.

Tonight Chad and Dave showed up to give a hand ont the body swap. Great job guys punk clap Thanks so much for the help and hustle tonight. ThumbUp We managed to completely remove the front clip and body from the frame. We then rolled in the K5 frame in and under the FSJ body where we had to see how close it was to fitting. Must say it is just about exactly what I expected, actually closer than I thought. No trimming at all needed. The steering shaft is even the right length. Shifters fit in the hump perfectly etc. It is sitting a bit higher than I am used to but its growing on me already.

Im on a mission here... Im going to be turning wrenches all weekend starting at 5:00 on friday night if ya want to join in. At this point its just hooking things back up and some minor fab work. I suspect that the front clip will need some trimming here and there along with another cross bar in the front to mount the bumper to.  ThumbUp I want to hear this thing run by the end of next week and on the road by the 14th.
Its my birthday gift to myself! TDay

Im going to try to run the FSJ Radiator with the Small Block Chevy. Problem being that the inlet and outlet on the radiator are in the wrong positions so I relocated them tonight. I also dont want to fool with trying to align the fan with shroud so I am going to run an electric fan. I also installed a later model Chevy e brake only because I had it. Cleaned up some engine hoses that were ran all over for some reason. re attached the fuel pump and a bunch of little B.S. things. Looking forward to tomorrow evening and fitting the front clip back on. TDay

Made a run to the auto parts store on the way in this morning. Now we can get some things done tonight. I also went ahead and took Dave's advice and used the truck bed spray coating on the firewall and innerfenders. Should be nice and dry by tonight. TDay
