Thanks, the lift is at the shop... Whats "Home" ? Haha, I have 2 "shops" one at home so i can drink beer and work whenever, and another one where i am more professional. My home shop is far superior to my shop shop, except i don't have a dyno at home!

Another productive day on the Hippo. Lets see, I mounted some transplanted shocks from the heep the the Jeevy. I re hooked up the winch. Re shortened the rear drive shaft. Put fluids in it and bled the brakes. Before I could do that I had to pull the master cylinder and disassemble and clean the crud out of it. I also had to make a Bleeding bottle so I could do it alone. I got the distributer all hooked up short of the Power lead that Dave ran yesterday. Took it off the lift and just discovered it dosnt have a park in it. So I closed up shop and called it a day. Not much more to do. Hook up the fan and switch, throw the seats back in it, fuel and a hotwire to the distributor. Make sure its in neutrial and fire it off. Think Im going to wait for Dave though. He needs to fire it off for the first time. after all the time and energy he has put into the thing.

No park? You sure your moving the selector on the tranny in the right direction. I would really love to light it off with ya but man I feel like crap right now so don't let me hold you back. Plug that red wire into the fuse block on the lower half just under the other red wire I plugged in and the other end to the + on the disributor cap and start crankin!!! Dave.

Ive got to get the shop back in order today and modify a seat for a customer. Then a cage for a Polaris that should be a few days worth of work. I think I am going to push the FSJ out into the yard and work on it next weekend.

Topped off the fluids on the tranny and found all the gears. Im happy with my radiator conversion so far. I turned the 256 radiator into a Small block chevy radiator by moving the inlet/ outlets. it idles and stays at 190 degrees. Ran it for a good 20 minutes. The electric fan and shroud seem to be working just fine. Tried bleeding the brakes again tonight without luck. I think the lines must be clogged really bad.

When I had my master cylender replaced on my way out to San Diego, it took the guys like three or four hours. The guys ended up staying about two hours after the shop closed. Apparently, I never had rear brakes till they bled them properly.

Drove it home this weekend. Now I have a new longer to do list but at least it drives. LOL unfortunately work is getting in the way of play this week and probably next week as well. I had a direct short and it would drain the battery in just a few minutes. I have unplugged the hot lead to the alternator now my battery stays up. LOL

Had a good night last night on the hippo. That sounds so wrong Anyway Dave Moorehouse brought refreshments by after work last night and we got busy. we tracked down the problem with the rear window. Dave got that working with a new ground wire. He also got the new plugs installed on the head lights and got those working for me. I found some missing hardware here and there and got it installed. This morning I went to car quest and A DesertCrawlin got me hooked up with a new Volt meter. Back to the shop to put that in along with the other temporary gauges. I then decided to clean up more temp wiring under the hood and wanted to hook up the spare battery. It took longer than expected but I think it will be well worth the effort. I also put a new rubber bushing in around the trans filler tube... and installed a new bonding strap between the body and engine.
