Hey folks, summer is here in its full blown glory... So are the snakes! Ive been reading lots of articles on how many more snakes seem to be around since the fires. When you are Spotting, or Stacking Rocks for traction, be sure to take a look at what is under, and around the rocks before grabbing them up. Be extra careful at night when the snakes are out feeding and the visibility is poor... I've noticed a lot more snakes this year than years past. With a large percentage of snakes seen being of the Rattling makes, and models. There's an enormous amount of info. on Snake Identification, Do's and Don'ts etc. on the internet. I just want everyone to have a great time on our runs, and not suffer the effects of a rattle snake bite. Ive been told it hurts ::)  Corral Cyn. Is just Alive with Snakes right now...  BE CAREFUL!

Have you ever had a close call? Seen many this year? Ever eaten one? :o

I decided a few years back that I was going to try n cook one up to eat. Found a big guy. I tried to skin it, and it just wasn't happening with the knife I had. I then got a newer box type knife and started to skin it and gut it out. That's when I made the mistake of cutting into its stomach and a small almost digested rabbit flopped out. You cannot believe how bad that odor was... :-\ to this day I can still smell it if i think about it very hard. LOL Needless to say I passed on dinner that night . ;)  They say it taste like chicken, but what doesn't? LOL

Oh yeah, they're out there, this is a little friend we ran across on the top of the first climb at Coyote Canyon, it was really cold so it was moving real slowwwww, fortunately. I know how much it hurts, one got me on my hand several years ago in West Texas, leaves a nice scar
