Could be, but there's a couple of places called Mountain Springs

I was thinking just below the desert overlook tower on hwy 8 close to Devils Cyn.?

Mountain Spring (no s) is the one your talking about MT.  Mountain Springs is at the Desert View Tower. Just ask the old guy at the tower and he will show you the trail to walk up, it's only about 100 yards. I think it cost a dollar to see the caves, dinosaurs (rock carvings) and springs
