I received a call from Richard Tull the C.C. Park Ranger the other day. As always Richard is looking for ways to improve the park and as always is trying to think out of the box on ways to improve the park. As some of you may know there is a quarterly meeting at park head quarters where all the so cal OHV parks are discussed for improvement and discussion on what has been improved. Because the meetings are held during the week at 1:00 Pm I suggested they move the meetings to a time when more people can attend and closer to the OHV that is in issue. I also suggested that the specific OHV being discussed have its own meeting. I think this would help keep the focus of the meeting on the park of interest by a majority of people attending. Another suggestion I had was to open up the meetings with better reporting to the folks. How many even know these meetings are being done, much less what was accomplished. I'm thinking a news letter from Richard that we can post on the SCUFF and other forums that will give a report on these things might be of value? Richard is looking for more and better ways to get folks involved so if you have an Idea post it up and we can get it to him.  Remember it is our park and the better we can make it the more comfortable it will be to use it!

Suggestion: Have him put on the sign at 4 corners what gates are currently closed out on the trails and have him update it weekly. This would save wheelers time and guessing :)

That would be the gates leaving the ohv property?

Hey Mike I think there are only two gates that there is ever an open /closed option. One at Four Corners to let you in the park and the one that is always open at the furthist point away from the front gate that lets you go all the way around the forest fire lookout mountain. All other gates like the Corte Maderia gates are to be closed all the time. There are a few that also go into Houser canyon that are always closed. Wild life area. ThumbUp

There is one at the lower campground, also at Sidewinder and one at trail 3 all on the fire road. I haven't ever seen them closed.
