If you purchase an Adventure Pass for the Cleveland National Parks, please buy it close to the park that you use the most. All funds are sent to park headquarters back east and then spent as they see fit. The exception is the Adventure Pass Money. It stays in the region it was collected in and goes to the nearest park in that ares. So for example if you frequent C.C. buy your pass in Alpine, Descanso, Pine Valley, Etc. Those funds go directly to Richard At CC. for its improvement and maintenance ThumbUp. Thank for the Help

In Alpine, the gas station on the northwest side of the HWY 8 above the Tavern off ramp has them. They stay open 24 hours I believe. Be sure to get the second Pass for $5.00 when you buy the first for $35.00.

just a quick question about the adventure passes, cause im new to the area and really have no idea what they are.

where do you need to have and adventure pass? and is it something you need to buy every time you go out or do you just buy one and it expires later on?

I will field this one the best I can... The Adventure pass is  used in the Cleveland National Parks. In San Diego the park that it is most used by us is the Corral Canyon OHV park. It just so happens that we maintain the campgrounds and a few of the trails there. So the passes need to be displayed while your vehicle is parked in the campgrounds or along the roadways. If your driving your vehicle its not required. The last one I bought was $35.00 for the year from the purchase date. For another $5.00 you can get a second vehicle pass which looks just the same as the $35.00 pass but must be purchased at the same time, and generally you have to ask for it. For whatever its worth... If the pass is purchased in the east county of S.D. all the money recieved goes directly to the maintance and upkeep of Our Corral Canyon ohv park. That permit money does not go back to Washington never to be  seen again.     ThumbUp
