So why couldnt you lock up your axles and use a hub lock on the rear for street use? Actually you could get by with just one on the rear, right? Just put it on the opposite of the wheel you want to drive the vehicle. Am I thinking right here? Has anyone seen this done?

Got it... I have a d60 rear and I have a spare set of d60 front locking warn hubs. Complete Assembly. I was just day dreaming about unique ways to lock it up on the cheap and still make it streetable. Just another random thought... Seems the older I get the more bazaar the imagination.

Just makes a weak link as Mike said earlier. Are you trying to make it a full floater?
If you used drive flanges you would have to pull the axle shaft out also because what would hold it in.

Hows this for a first post??... I run the Warn hub kit in the rear on a D44 with full flooting axels. I do flat tow it so it works great to unlock and go. I have run them on a D35 also and have not had a problem with them, and yes, when some one "unlocks" one it will still drive, however, not a good idea IMO.
I have 33x15.5x15 DC FuncuntryII's on 12" wide rims running 4.56's, locker in the rear and a soft locker in the front. Works good for me, just need to get out and put more trail miles on it.
