To start I will give you a little back ground. I am am currently going to school in Idaho and I graduate in December and my wife and I will be headed back to San Diego when that happens.

I have a 1976 FSJ cherokee that a few of you have seen. I love it but.... I don't have a very easy or cheap way to get it back to San Diego.

So, now on to the question. I have a D60/70 combo that are sitting in my storage unit. I was going to put them under my cherokee but I think I am going to sell the cheokee before I leave and use that money and buy something different to put the 1 tons under.

If you had $5,000 and already had axles what would you build?

What? the frame is only $3750.00 that leaves you with $1250.00 to buy a donner vehicle for everthing else. Ask Steve, bet he could find a donner for half of that... lol clap

How about renting a flat bed and haul the jeep home. That and the new axles would still be street legal.

Or hire me to come pick it up for ya ;)

FSJs are cool. Fuel injected blazers are a dime a dozen. Versatile, Cheap and tough and one tons will about bolt in. a little wide for my taste tho.

It's a tow rig, doesn't count...and I'll probably end up wheeling another blazer. Practicality and bang for the buck is too high to nitpick according to taste.  TDay
