I have an opportunity to pick up a dual fuel system (Propane / Gas) at a great price. Was wondering if anyone here has ran this combo of a carborated  vehicle. My thought was to use pump gas to get out to the wheeling location and then use the propane for the off road. Then back to gas to get back in town?   Pros or cons?

Of all the people I have read that went to propane they love it, why bother with dual?

Im thinking that propane isnt always available. I am a little concerned about where gas prices are heading, and I hear that you loose a little HP with propane, having an under powered heavy rig to start with it might make since to keep the dual fuel option open.

Doesn't propane have like half the BTU's of gasoline?  So you need more of it to get the same power?  I think it would be cool to have the availibilty of dual fuels

My Father - in - Law used it on his Caddy,  it was an older carberated one, and it was great.  He used the gas to start and get going then switched to Propane.  I do not know what system he had, but did look at it several times.  I've played with fuel vaporizing systems before and the propane carb attachments was very clean.  Also, no float level problems.

I'd say go for it,  if the price is low, it's always good to try new stuff and learn about it.

I have been reading up on dual fuel kits and am seriously considering it as well.
Tired of engine issues in bumps and steep angels after last weekend.

Which kit are you looking at and which tanks will you use?
