Figured why not make a build up thred.

ok I bought this when I was 16 before I got my license, it looked like this

Started doing some small stuff like taken the flares off

Bought a Grant Formula GT wheel for it

Bought a Dixie horn. haha :p:D

Painted the piece around the dash black

Bought a cheap intake and rustys 4.5 springs

Then I found a deal on tires on craigslist and cut the fenders

Then I got a deal on Naxja on a Ruibcon Express Trac bar

My brother helped build me a bumper

Found a deal on these walker evans

The day I got my license this is how it lokked.

Got new tires

Played for a bit

Then came the problem. I ripped the lower control arm mount off the uni body rail and broke a shock mount

Started tearing it apart

Bought rear glass

Trussed my front axle

Plated the frame

Then came a new engine

Rear glass mounted

Tubbed fenders

New engine in

Seats are in

Since these pics I've gotten Rubicon Express 5.5 coils, The grill and radiators etc back on, 9 inch lights and some other odds and ends done

Trussing the front axle was probably a good idea for the driving you pictured.  Looks like a 44 rear?  I'd keep an eye on that, I bent mine and know a few others who have as well.

Looks like a cool project.

Finally this thing has an update.  I took the time to make my brother a 3 link.  Such a good bro i know lame.  Well 2 days worth of work later he has a new crossmember, full length frame stiffeners, looong arms, trac bar bracket.  It actually sits on 4 tires. (A first in 2 years!)  Now my brother just has to finish it.  Then I'll be caging it
