I walk in my house to my mom crying and my dad petting my dog. I guess he has multiple tumors and internal bleeding. So we're gonna have to put him down within the next two days. Man Im gonna miss my dog Oz!  He was the man and everybody loved him and if he didn't know you he was the best guard dog. lol  I didn't think anything of it really taking him to the vet this morning and didn't get told until I got from work which probably was a god thing.  My first dog but definitely a great dog.  Gonna be hard to replace him:(

Goodbye Ozzy. I'm gonna miss you buddy

He loved cars and absolutely loved the desert. When he heard the motorhome start he would sprint to it jump in and sit up in the passenger seat and just wait to leave. I'm definately gonna miss im. :/

Ohh man... Sorry to hear.  I have a nine and ten year old that are really close...   Looks like an awesome dog and seemed to love your Jeep.

Well he's still kickin'.  He probably had the best 4th yesterday.  He got 2 cheeseburgers and other scraps ppl gave him.  He actually chewed on his bone a little.  Earlier in the day he chased a coyote off our property but couldn't make it back to the house and had to be carried.  Its a hard decision everynight, but he's sticking in there.

May all the wonderful memories you've shared with Ozzy help you through this sad time.

Wow,
Sorry for your loss.  I dread the day that I have to do that same thing.  Just remember in the long run it is what is best, and you will still have all the wonderful memories.

Good Bye Ozzy. R.I.P.

We went all out on his cross. Dog Bone shapped and my dad used the die grinder to carve his name into it. Its held together with stainless ARP head fastners and nylock nuts lol

Thanks everyone for the kind words.  my moms taking it the worst.  Its wierd this morning being home alone without my pal

this one gets me everytime I read it

Quote
I remember bringing you home.

You were so small and cuddly with your tiny paws and soft fur. You bounced around the room with your eyes flashing and ears flopping.
Once in a while you'd let out a little yelp just to let me know this was your territory.

Making a mess of the house and chewing on everything in sight became a passion and when I scolded you, you just put your head down and looked up at me with those innocent eyes as if to say," I'm Sorry, but I'll do it again as soon as you're not looking." As you got older, you protected me by looking out the window and barking at everyone who walked by. When I had a tough day at work, you would be waiting for me with your tail wagging just to say, "Welcome home! I missed you!" You never had a bad day and I could always count on you to be there for me. When I sat down to watch T.V. or read the paper, you would hop on my lap looking for attention.
You never asked for anything more than to have me pat your head so you could go to sleep with your head over my leg. As you got older, you moved around more slowly. Then one day, old age finally took its toll, and you couldn't stand on those wobbly legs anymore. I knelt down and patted you lying there, trying to make you young again. You just looked up at me as if to say you were old and tired and that after all of these years of not asking for anything, you had to ask me to do one last favor. With tears in my eyes, I drove you one last time to the vet. One last time you were lying next to me. For some strange reason you were able to stand up in the animal hospital. Perhaps it was your sense of pride. As the vet led you away, you stopped for an instant, turned your head
and looked at me as if to say, " Thank you for taking care of me."

And I thought, " No . . . Thank you for taking care of me."
