I sent an email to CORVA this morning and here is there response:

Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2009 08:38:23 -0700
From: beyond-graphics@sbcglobal.net
Subject: Devils Canyon
To: corvabod@corva.org

Not sure if you know about this action or not as I haven't read anything in your news letters or I had missed it. I did however send a letter to the BLM. Here is a link to the information I'm speaking of.

If it's public land why doesn't the public get a say in the actions of the BLM?

Thanks, MIke Baker

From Ed Stovin:
Hi all, I found the environmental assessment for Devil's Canyon on the El Centro BLM website and am working with the Ecologic lawyer to write comments.  I planned to comment in support of this action.  If any of you have ideas on how we should comment, I am happy to hear.

I would be in support of some alternatives like A more suitable time of the season (other than the hottest months of the year).
Make permits available online.
