I have a problem with my rear disc brake setup. i bought this rear axle with the disc brake conversion on it already. the problem is the brake pads. The rear brake pads are loose and you can hear clangging when you drive. there is no hardware holding hem in the caliper, so they just "sit" on them. the brake pads that it uses come from a 79 to 85 el dorado which is the same as a 83 monte carlo. the clip that comes with he brake pads are no good to me because it gets in the way on the piston. i need clips that go on the side of the pad or something that doesnt get in the way of the piston. any idea where i can find some or what i should do? thanks.

Are those rear brake pads? They should have a knurle on the back of the back that fits into one of the notches on the piston after it has been adjusted.

yea these are the brake pads for this rear disc brake setups. ive been to lots of stores asking for brake pads like this but with clips on the sides, but nobody has them....hey fit perfect but there is to much space in between the piston and the pads since there is no hardware.

Yea theres a glue stuff for brakes.
Are the pistons on the calipers adjusted right? The pistons spin and go in and out thats why theres notches i them and the brake pad fits in one of the notches

i got half the disc brake problem. i had to hit the outer pad with a hammer to close the teeth more. then i forced it onto the caliper so it wouldnt rattle around. it works great, but now i need to find something tha will holdthe inner pad more in place since it is a closed pistin.
