Went to walmart and picked up a set of lights which came with a switch and wiring. Well worth 15 dollars in my opinion.

After taking part in the August Full Moon run, and seeing the rigs that have rock lights, I decided to order some for myself.  I got some Vision X Tantrum Rock Lights (LED - super white) and hopefully they will be here soon.  The set comes with eight "pods," seems like of like overkill, but as Big Boy said, you can never have too much light.

Looking forward to the next night run to test out the new rock lights (hopefully they will be installed by the Sept. run).

Ty...

who did you order them from?

Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town enjoying the sun and water at Lake Havasu.

I ordered the lights through Amazon.com.  The estimated day of arrival is: August 25, 2008 (today!)  What I ordered is: "Vision X HIL-STW Tantrum Strobe System And Rock Light Kit With Master Controller And Wireless Remote Superwhite"  With tax and all, total: $101.40  (I think i got free shipping).

Doesn't look like my Rock Lights will be here today.  UPS website says August 26.  Well, hopefully (because I'm out-of-town on the 27th & 28th).

The nice UPS guy delivered the new Rock Lights.

Looks like a new project for this weekend.

Anyone want to go night wheelin' on Sunday night (it's a holiday weekend)?   (Maybe Saturday night, but I'll have spent all day on San Vicente Lake (the last weekend it will be open for 6 to 9 years as they raise the damn.))

Here is a photo of my rock lights Qty-2 on each side. 20 bucks a side with wiring and switches. (Autozone)
Just received my new Tantrum LEDs, I'm looking forward to the light show.

OK, so it took me a very long time to get some proof up that the LED Rock Lights were actually installed.  There are 6 total --> I've got four up front (2 each under the front fenders, and 1 each in front of the rear wheels.)

Sorry, no "action" photos yet.  However, at the end of a trail run, when it's dark, these are the great things in the world for assisting in hooking up the swaybar and airing-up tires.

I have 4 rock lights setup, 2 in the rear and 2 midway/upfront.

I have the Walmart farmers 3" lights going on with each pair wired to a switch running off a 30amp relay and single 30amp fuse.  the light is nice, but the current draw is terrible.  The next light upgrade will most likely be changing out all the 55w bulky lights I'm currently running to an ALL LED setup.

My total currect setup cost me about $80 and totally worth it when the Sunsets and you're still playing in the rocks, but LEDs are the way to go.

4x4Loy, very nice setup.

Thanks.  I had a lot of time on my hands while I was waiting on my replacement axle.  Yeah, I think the LEDs are the way to go.  What is really cool about my set-up is that the lights will strobe and blink if I want.

Of course.  All show, and no go.  That's why I can't figure out why my rig is so often broken and sitting on jack-stands.
