OK, so it took me a very long time to get some proof up that the LED Rock Lights were actually installed.  There are 6 total --> I've got four up front (2 each under the front fenders, and 1 each in front of the rear wheels.)

Sorry, no "action" photos yet.  However, at the end of a trail run, when it's dark, these are the great things in the world for assisting in hooking up the swaybar and airing-up tires.

Ty....

Nice lights, but wasn't it kinda extreme removing the axle to install the lights  LMAO

Hey btw, I have a nice flashlight and a Padres cap for sale. Interested? Hope we can see y'all again on a run soon

That axle thingy is a real inconvenience and gets in the way --> much easy to just remove it when working on the front end.  You'd be surprised how much room you have axle-less.

I'll trade you some fried chicken wings for the flashlight and cap.

We'll be out on some runs (I just have to convince the wife that it is OK to break the Jeep every weekend.  She thinks that's too much.)  Actually, she wants to stop running rock-crawler type trails and go out to the desert, into the sand and "softer" trails, and do those --> she thinks that the Jeep is less likely to break in the sand, and dirt hills.  Silly girl!

Sounds like the plan for the weekend of the 12th. nice runs, lots of exploring. Maybe we can even do some lessons in little rock crawling and ease her fears

WOW I guess that I need to install some rock lights too -- It gives me a reason to remove my front axle.

Maybe I will replace my dented oil pan then too  TDay

You'd be surprised at how much room you have at the front end if you remove that darn front axle!

Im playing with a new twist on the rock light thing. Im notching the bottom of the front bumper to accept a set of rock lights. They will shine outward from the underneath side of the front bumper...

They would work fine you don't need a spot light under there just something to give some light when crawling. Also hammeredtoy uses the same system with no complaints.

For Xmas, the girls got me the Tantrum Rock Lights...   Cheers

Took me a few days, but got them installed. Had to fabricate 8 brackets and bolt them to the frame.

Kit came with 8 lights, controller, distribution block. Cut off the cig lighter and hardwired to my aux fuse box. Controller mounted to driver-side kick panel, distribution block behind the drivers seat.

Just need to finish aiming the lights, pull and paint the brackets. I choose to bolt the lights to the brackets rather than relying on the double-sided tape. After painting, when I re-bolt the lights to the brackets, I'll seal the base of the light with silicone.

I've got a few other ideas - I'll hold off till later  tt2

Lights mounted in front and behind each of the four tires.
Buried in the front bumper pointing to front tires

Bolted to the forward-most rock slider bracket, pointing to front tires

Bolted to the rear-most rock slider bracket, pointing to rear tires

Bolted to rear support bracket at corner of bed, pointing to rear tires

Controller - Drivers side kick panel. Using velcro.

Tried taking some pics last night of the light output, but LED lighting is not replicated very well in photos. These are not 'blinding' lights (unless looking directly at them).

i thought about bypassing the controller and just wiring the lights in on a switch with a relay

Got me, looks like a pain to me. they don't really put off that much light for the hassle. If you want the ones I've got your welcome to them.
