This may be a stupid question but I honestly don't know. Can a tire be to big for a transfer case? So say can you run a 38" tire with a stock toyota, jeep, or chevy transfer case?

it's really the diff's that take the abuse. I have friends that ran stock drivetrains w/37's(jeep & toy's) that would break axles, but no transfercases. I, on the other hand, have broken my dana 300, twice :'(. It's been the same part both times, input gear. But, I run a 400hp small block chevy & 40" tires & like to do front digs 8)  :P ::)
