not the nuts that go on the motor mount studs. the nuts on the dual adapter did. but they got lock tite and lock washer anyways. i always use lock tite and a lock washer whenever possible.

i am talking about the bolt into the block guys, lots of torque+vibration=no more bolt. That is what happened to mine on the drivers side, bottom one is stripped completely top threaded back in, thanks to Billy. And i used blue locktite. Those 4.7 gears seem to be pulling weak stuff loose on my truck. Cant wait to see your rig done.

got a new mount made up for the cross member. i was going to use the stock bolt holes but found out that they were all stripped and i had no intentions of cutting the frame apart and welding in new nuts. so i fabbed up my own. ill post some pictures. for now i just have one made. it was my tester. ive never done anythign like this. the next one will be a little bit better. just as soon as i can get a pic of it ill post it.

also got a new drill press.

so this is what i came up with. the outside piece is gonne get welded to the top of the crossmember. and the inside piece (the one with the bushing) is gonna get welded to the inside of the frame. im gonna have 4. 1 in each corner. this one here is the first "test" that i made. the real 4 will be similar but slightly different now that i know exacatly how i want to make them.

i also cut up and welded shut the spare rear axle housing i had to make a cover for a spare diff.

I also got the trans all bolted up to the engine. its just hanging on the cherry picker for now. had to cut a bit more out of the floor board and am gonna have to notch out that crossmember right behind the rear output flange. dont quite know what im going to do for that quite yet.

puttin my dad to work.

i got the crossmember made up and all glued together. i just need to cut out the channel for the front drive shaft and cut out holes for the drain plugs. im thinking im going to lay a few gussets on the top of the case case it kind of bows a little when its got all the weight of the t-case. and i think it might do it more when i cut out the spt for the frotn drive shaft.

well here it is pretty much done. im going to have it completey finished once i know exacatly where the front d-shaft is going to hang.
i got it set up so that nothing gets bolted from the bottom. the t-case mounts are the TG mounts and they got welded to the top. when i put it in i just lower the t-case down on and bolt it to the mounts. not to hard to do. but i dont ever have to worry about banging a bolt head on a rock. when i welded the gussets on top i took alot of care to make sure it didnt warp at all. i think it did slightly but not enough to mess with the alignment of anything. as far as if i have to remove this thing on the trail. well. im hoping i never have to. but the next time i have to remove it im going to try and do it with out the cherry picker and see how it works out. it weighs a good 80 pounds.

got a little bit done these past couple of days. trying to save for the lift.
got the hubs all cleaned up painted and rebuilt. i was trying out differnt colors and this is the one i like the best. think im going to pretty much stick with black and red for the whole truck.

this was kind of gay. when i was trying to put the new shifter back in the first t-case i broke this part off. this is there to keep the shifter from flopping around in the t-case. i do have to drop the t-case again. but atleast i dont have to tear it all apart. just the front crawl box which is kind of easy. i only tacked tat piece of metal there because i didnt think it would actually see much force. ive since taken the broken piece off.

alot of people told me i could do this because i needed some special press and some other tools. well i got it done with a hammer and a piece of 1/4" plate with a big ass hole in it. its the rear wheel bearings in the bearing caps with out all the brake drum stuff cause im wanting to do disk brakes.

also picked up an extra diff that im eventually going to practice on so i know how to rebuild those too.
