I was talking to Richard at Fibertech today about his super sweet air compressor in his jeep. I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this line of compressors? Looking for feed back on their products. Thanks M.T.

This thing rocks... it can keep up with power tools, fills tires in seconds not minutes. Im thinking this might be a great unit for the Expo trailer / Pit trailer. I think its around a thousand bucks. Actually all I need is the Motor.  TDay

At 180 amps you're going to need dual batteries and a high amp alternator.  eek

That is a serious compressor. By the time you are done intalling it you go into the roofing business.

It is a York compressor you can also get a new one from Kilby http://www.kilbyenterprises.com/index.htm for about the same price with brackets ect. or go to the junkyards and look around. The one I had in my last jeep made 8cfm of air at an idle and with a small tank could easily run air tools

At some point, I want to have an OBA setup, but that might be a little bit overkill.  It looks awesome and would be great on your trailer.  I will just make sure I roll with you on off road trips.   Drink Sarcasm

I'm just about finished with my York compressor On board air system. I'll have about $375 into it when finished. including tank, air hoses and cool air chuck..
I'll post up pics soon.. Cheers

I heard that if you go to a truck salvage yard (like semi trucks) you can find air tanks for fairly cheap. all of those trucks have air tanks under them. that's a lot of air out of a compressor and a lot of amps to go with it.

I've seen guys make brackets and run a second a/c compressor right next to the factory a/c and have cold air and on board air.

Personally I would rather have a 12 set up like these so i don't have to have my motor running to use it.  How much are these things anyways.
