Well it looks like i have to drop the case to modify the shifter rod so I'll be doing that tomorrow.  I'm figurin' i'll get the rod setup and installed then put the case back in so I can still drive home then i'll start making the shift linkage.  Wish me Luck if something goes bad I'll be riding my bike to work and I just don't want to do that cause I don't have a bike. tt2

Well got the shift rod modified last night but forgot to take pictures.  Wasn't much top look at anyways all we did was weld a bolt to the end of the diaphram rod after cutting the diaphram completly off.  Had to split the case to get the rod out cause there wasn't enough room to get to it.  All in all it was 2 hours of tearing it apart just to weld and smooth out for about 10 minutes then put it all back together.  I'll be working on the shift shaft and what not this week and i'll get some pics up as I go.

Yeah at this point I can crawl down there and put it into 4x4 but I still need to finish the shifter inside the truck, then it will be completly finished.  Hoping to head out to superstition for New Years but still not sure if I'm gonna make it.
