I used to have a week-long Class A motorhome but it was a bit too much for some some of the off-road excursions I took it on, and it was just too darn big and surprisingly it didn't have that much room inside, bad floorplan.

So now I have a nice 1985 Chevy 20' Class C, sleeps six, has DirectTV and a flat panel for the important Sunday happenings, A/C, cold beer, inside and outside showers, basically everything I need for roughing it, and it's paid for!!

I don't check the mileage because i don't want to know, but it gets pulled along by a 350, bored 60 over and stroked to about 383ish, Edelbrock Performer with a Quad, Thorley headers, Accel ignition, cammed, 700R4 tranny swap, it's getting an electric fan this week if I get ambitious and a couple of other mods. It's roomy, nice floorplan, can fit in a regular parking space, and did I mention it's paid for  ~clap

There it is out at Blair Valley

I got it from a guy that got it direct from an auction, Ft Irwin I think.

Here is a forum where you can find some info about the process. Buying direct from the govt is cheaper but a huge pain.

Yes they do.  Usually by the time a hummer makes the for sale line its pretty beat to hell though.  ~tank

I tow mine out with my 2006 Nissan Frontier.  Plenty of power, room and way more comfortable than a YJ!

EDIT:  I just realized this is the unedited version of the pic Stvdiego has above.  Thanks for editing me out....jerk  ~rockon

Maybe some bigger tires, but it's pretty high as is. A little over 24" to the rear bumper. Thinking about swapping out the transmission for a 700R. It's geared at 4.56 so it revs a little high on the road.
