jbolty, I have some Chevy military stuff around if you need anything.
The rear axle should be a 14 bolt, not a 60...?

OK, now that the pic is fixed, my eagle eye detects a 14b under the back. I can see the "14 bolt lip"
That thing is cool. Can I plug my A/C into it at SCUFF fest? ~clown
My brother bought 3 CUCV trucks over the years. One is sold, one is a carcass, and one is complete minus axles.
He has CUCV axles in his stepside. Actually CUCV 14b rear and Ford Hi pinion 60 ARB front.
I have CUCV axles under my blazer, added a locker to the front 60.
Does yours for sure have a locker in the front? The pickups only have one in the rear axle. I think I heard the generator trucks have some sort of TAD in the front.

According to the TM there is a locker in both ends. I think one is a detriot and the other is some other type. Supposed to put an oil additive in the front one.
I have tons of docs but have yet to read them all.
Gen is 10kw. Plenty of power as long as we can sleep with it running. LOL

That's huge!
I don't have a gen for mom's trailer, so last time we took a welder/generator out from the shop....yeah, it was loud...
I think the front is a trak-loc or something...maybe a posi since it requires an additive.

Mine is a 96 F150 4x4 extra cab. 5.8 lifted on 33's with 4.10 gears. So far it has done alright, but when I want to I get to use my dads 94 F350 4 door with the 460

There's a few fast diesels running around. One '99 PSD out in Ramona (high 12's, 530hp 7.3), a '94 2wd Dodge (Steve), he's running 10's. I'm right around the 320-350 range. I don't need it to be super fast, just needs to be able to hold 85 up hill with 14k behind it.

That's my problem. It's got the power for hotridding around but not enough airflow. Put a load on it and EGTs go thru the roof so you have to back off to keep it cool enough and end up going the same speed a stock truck might floored. I'm very happy with the custom tunes on my truck. I can't even get above 1000* in my daily setting. Tow setting with 10k behind it, I'm lucky to see 1250*.... Extreme, well, I can bury the 1600* pyro

I think I finally found my new tow vehicle. At first I wasn't sure it could handle the fifth wheel trailer, added a few chains just to be safe, and after a little work I think it'll do great, and its four wheel drive. What do you guys think? I know, try no to be too jealous. WOW, what some people will try.
