i am going to lift my jeep 6 inch and was wondering which cv driveshaft i will need to buy? is it the front driveshaft or the rear?

The rear D.S.  for sure and you might need to do the front as well

I think he has the np231 Mike so he will have to do the conversion or swap out the t.c. to maybe an Atlas?????

I think you will need a silp yoke eliminator (short shaft kit) for your np231 and a longer rear drive shaft.
