Ran Bronco Peak and the Connector at break neck speed.. we were on track to finish under 45 mins... Last 200 feet just before the large V rock.. didn't hear anything snap just noticed the rear tire wasn't turning, then I could hear the sound like nothing I've ever heard before. The bummer was the axle shaft took out the carrier bearing on the driverside which trashed everthing... Between the winch and Newguy2005 towing, we got it off the trail in no time. Ran home picked up the trailer and was home by 11pm. Thanks Dusty Still had a great time wheeling out there even with the destruction. Time for up grades...

Yes I did have a spool Anyone seen a company that makes a 33 or 35 spline spool for the d44? I see them for the d60s

That sucks Mike, but at least you still had a good time, and it could of happened at a much worse spot. You plan on going with chromo's or did I hear you say it's time for a 60? Did it take out the ring also?

Did it take out the ring also? Everything in the rearend is wasted.. Going to up grade to chromo's in the 44, but I would like the larger shafts... either 33 or 35 spline if I can find a spool for that size. Might go back to an overkill miller locker with 35 spline shafts

??? lockers or spools don't slip they break something open or LSD slips b4 they break and thats why they won't make up the hill. IMHO
