shock recommendations

As I am planning my SOA/SF lift, I am starting to look into shocks. Everything that I have read on various board says to wait till the lift in installed then meassure for drop, compression, and ride height then pick up the shocks you would need. I guess that is my plan for now, but what brand/ style shocks is everyone running? What are the recommendations? I am not looking to get too crazy, I figure with my budget I want to spend between 200 and 300 dollars (maybe a little more). I just want to get some opinions on shocks. Thanks in advance.

I meant 200 to 300 total. I was looking at the 5150s, but I think for a set of four, that would be a little too much. I guess it depends on how cheaply I can get parts for the lift.

I agree. I run the Doetsch 2.2 with resevoirs shocks and they are as good as Bilstein 7100's I was running prior to these. I've run Doetsch's cheap shocks and was happy with them for the money.
