Wagon-eerrooo!

« on: January 19, 2010, 06:59:49 PM »

Hello folks,

I am Dawg, Another new member in Lakeside. "My new" 4X4 I just picked up is a 74 jeep wagoneer with a 360 and a turbo 400. I have variously had in the past a trooper, a ranger 4x4, an exploder, an Xterra, and a cj5, plus grew up with buggys and bikes.

This one is a keeper though, it's bone stock, has 147k miles with a recent rebuild on both tranny and engine, and runs very well. my first drive was 500 miles from Angels Camp to San Diego in yesterday's storm without issues. Plans for this rig is to leave it stock for now but clean it up a bit and use it for trips and occasional snow days at work on Palomar Mountain.

Nice,
Always great to see another FSJ in SCUFF.  I have an '86 Grand Wagoneer which I am about to lift.  There a few more guys here with FSJs.  Glad to here you had a safe and good drive.  Great way to build confidence in your rig.  Just so you know, these Jeeps are pretty capible in stock form, but a little lift is always good.  Again, welcome and..........

Best way to post pics is to use a web site like photo bucket.  You can post your pics there and they have links that you copy and paste to the forum text block and the picture will show up in your post.

awesome rides man, that J10 looks like a hell of a project, love seeing another FSJ mine looked exactly like that but tan (dust brown whatever color you wanna call it) bone stock off roaded great, but then i got 31"s and started to rub so i lifted it a lil and it rubbed less but still a little so then i cut back the fenders, no more rub, now i want a bigger lift so i can fit bigger tires...the cycle seems to always be there...but happy trails, i know stock it wheels great
