Ladies and gentlemen,

I just read the rules etc. and I apologize for jumping right in with my Diablo Drop post before making formal introductions.  Please forgive my oversight.

My name is Mark Silva.  I live in Clairemont, San Diego.  I'm a founding member of a small group called Arroyo Warriors that like to go wheeling in the local desert.

My vehicle is an 05 taco with stock 4WD, 4 cylinder, 5 speed.  No lockers :(  Only upgrade so far is some Bilstein lift shocks and larger wheels and tires.  Oh, and removing those stupid stock solid plastic mud flaps!  CB and GPS.  It's my daily ride.

We came across the SCUFF group that was wheeling in the Badlands after the rains (or actually, they came across us, and overpassed us).  I had my new HD cam that my wife just got me for my birthday....  so I was all over it!  We were drooling over your vehicles.

Professionally I'm an architect, so I'm very familiar with putting videos together.  When I saw how cool the footage I had of SCUFF was, I had to make a video;

Please forgive my exuberant jumping in without the proper introduction.  It would be an honor to be accepted into this community.

Mark

Very Awesome to meet you Mark and again welcome to SCUFF!  Sorry I was too busy working under my Jeep to make a formal introduction in person out at the desert.  My name is Dave and I drive the big white Wagoneer.  Thanks again for the video and hope to wheel with you again soon.

No rules on intros Mark, we just like to give everyone who takes the time to join SCUFF a neighborly welcome. ThumbUp While we do have rules they are easy to stay within. We are a fairly low key group with the love of wheeling being the primry focus here. Thanks for sharing the videos with the rest of us. And Welcome...

Arroyo is spanish for a wash, a dry creek bed or gulch that temporarily fills with water after a heavy rain.  Just like Broken Shaft Gulch!

Welcome Mark!

This encounter with SCUFF, was this a few weeks ago? Right after the heavy rains?  Were you with a Jeep?

This guy?

If so, I was with the group of Toyotas that you caught up to at the gate to Coyote Canyon.

FWIW - I've heard that the last crossing (silted out that day) is once again open..

If not, my apologies for interjecting here...  And once again, welcome to SCUFF!

Rick

Thought I had a picture of the silver taco I'm thinking of...

PS - I'm not able to view the video here at work, I'll try at home.....
