yeah i was really surprised at the amount of slack in the old one.  would explain why my case liked to pop at me under high torque. new chain and gears should fix that noise.  the part however was not in today so it should be here tomorrow which means i will have Friday to finish it.  good thing i have a personal mechanic to help me with the labor, that being said Friday afternoon if anyone wants to come help/watch the final wrenching i can probably arrange to have a few cold ones involved.  (if not more for me) Cheers

well as of now it looks as though i wont be doing the final push on my Tcase.  the part ive been waiting on since last week is still not in, and im waiting for a call back from the people i ordered it from...ups has shipping information recieved but thats all, it doesnt say where it is or anything. in the past UPS ground from pheonix is fast. so i will see, maybe it will be waiting for me when i get home from work around noon.  probably not.  that being said, its time to do some fabricating and figure out how im going to make the switch work for the Tcase 2wheel to 4wheel

Take a look at the IFSJA site.  I saw a really good write up on how to do the cable shifter for the t-case.  There were some really great pictures on how to make and fab the linkage and stuff.  Just a thought.

Have you tried Border Parts (Spring Valley) and MIT (El Cajon).  Both have helped me with odd parts in tha past.  Good luck!

so apparently UPS lost my part...i talked to the guys at www.4wheelers.com and they said it shipped the 30th and when they looked the part up on friday UPS told them it would be delivered. well it still hasnt been delivered today, and they wont have another thrust washer to ship to me till at least wednesday. but they yelled at UPS to find my part. the guy said hopefully i will have my part by friday...better than nothing but i have all week off work and my jeep is stuck parked. waiting on a lil piece of plastic....oh well

With part time kit installed use good quality ATF.  Its a little over 2 quarts if I remember so buy three and you should have some left over.  What time you wrenchin on it maybe I'll come out.  By the way use grease on the thrust washers like glue to hold them in place while you put the cases back together.  It helps alot.

i may hold you to that.  and moorehouse we pretty much wrenched from about 2-9ish we spent a lot of time fabbing a shift linkage for my 2x4/4x4 switch.  mostly got it dialed in have to make a minor adjustment tomorrow and then fill it with fluid. do some final routing of my morse cable that i used for the shifting.  ill have some picks up tomorrow.
