it is done, i just finished running my first tank of gas through it after the mods.  so far i am REALLY pleased.  i was getting about 8-8.5 maybe 9 on a good day of all highway cruisin.  this trip was mostly highway with some narly traffic and probably about 25-30 miles of city driving.  i averaged almost 12  so if i continue to get at least 11 on a bad tank or even 10 i would still be pleased.  now the next test is going to be getting off the highway and onto the trail and see if i lose too much of my low end torque. in driveway test of the low range so far it seems to not be bad but we will see

ok so, i came up with some ideas for my bumpers/rock rails.  now i just need to find someone that is good with a welder so i can cut the rest of the jeeps rear quarter panel and weld it up nice, then i can start working on my bumpers and rock rail and be ready to slide my way up and down trails. if i get around to sketching out a design ill throw it up and you guys can tell me what you think.

so im headed to taylor's (2wdrckcrwlr's) house later this afternoon and we are planning to cut the rest of my trashed fenders out and seal them up.  should be a good learning exp for me.  ive done cutting and ive done heavier welding but ive never welded a body panel.  im excited.  i will probably be down around his place around 4-4:30 pm and if we dont finish i may be down that way again, tomorrow. while we play with the fenders i plan to lay out my rock sliders and hopefully figure out how i want to build them and maybe even try to decide on my bumpers. then its time to go wheeling again.

aside from some minor clean up grinding and then a little paint my cut off fenders are cut off and sealed.  HUGE thanks to Taylor (2wdrckcrwlr) for all of his help and know how.  made the job a lot easier and way better then i would have ever been able to do.  now its time to start looking at how to craft my bumpers and rock sliders/steps, pics will be up later this afternoon when i get a chance to put them onto my computer.

so after everyone working on their junk has gotten me inspired, i have been thinking of slotting my hood, so my brother and i are going to do it today.  cheap since its what i can afford right now, i will hopefully have pics of it finished later this afternoon.

Is that to let the rain in? How are you going to keep the water out? Are ya still thinking about the red light under the hood?  clown  LMAO Seriously, looks great and should work just fine.

Cant have red or blue light showing from the front of any car... Ticket time, GREEN? or a Christmas tree light sticking out of each hole. TDay

the police are always trying to ruin my fun, besides when the switch gets turned, what blue light??? realistically it would be kinda fun to put some type of light under there just to see peoples reactions during night runs, but that being said, i cant afford tickets.
