I was talking to my Mom and she just got a 2001 diesel Jetta and she had to get it smoged to register it. Cuss  So I looked up on the DMV website and found out that starting this year you have to get 1998 and newer diesels smogged. censored

Holly  001_9898 Everyone who has a chip in the trucks is hating it! I heard about this from CARB a few years back. That is why I never touched my Duramax!

I have a 99 Beetle TDI now and am going to be selling it soon to take over a '86 Diesel Blazer.  So thankfully no smog on the Blazer.  Stupid California and their need to find a way to tax everything.
