This weekend I will be swapping out the head lights and lens on Tags 02 Grand Cherokee. The milky lens wouldnt polish out so we got a couple of new ones for her. Any words of advice for changing them out? Any thing to look out for or tricks to make it easier? Never played with these headlights before!

im assuming they are the same as mine. the rectangle ones. the same on a yj. they have an h4 bulb type. when i swaped mine out i got the lights and new housings from rampage. they were about a hundred bucks for everythign. keep the stock equipment to mount the housings and line up the light because the kit only comes with the bulbs and the housings. i never did use the bulbs because i put in an hid kit from xentec and that was as simple as plugging it in and putting the hid bulbs in place of the other ones and then finding a place to mount the ballasts. the hid kit was about another 120. so in all i spent about 220 but i dont ever need to buy off road lights. these things put out some bright serious friggin light.

but swapping out the lights are pretty easy. just moves thigns out of your way so you can get at them. that will make things so much easier to install and line up.

when i had my grand...i removed the headlights severals times....take the grill off and then start unscrewing and unsnapping things....if your afraid to break the snaps then take the plastic head light housing out..(couple more bolts and it spans the whole front end of the jeep) its pretty flimsy and lightweight so try not to break it

Actually I made it allot harder than it needed to be... There are three screws up top and one loooooong goofy looking bolt that needs to be removed. once that is done the whole lens and head light assym. just pops out. There are 3 ball and socket joints that the lens just pops over ot hole it on. Thanks for the help and moral support on this. All in all it took about 1 hour. I could do it in about 20 minutes now that I know what is going on.
