Does anyone have a hard mounted air compressor on their rigs?
Did you run lines from it to other area's on the rig? Where too?

If so what type of lines did you use or what is most common to use?

I'd think brake line type of tubing would last the longest but be a pain to install.

Would rubber hose like on a shop compressor or even the plastic tube hold up over time?

I ran 3/8 copper from comp to the air tank, not to difficult. The places that looked like it might rub I sleeved with rubber hose

OK thanks.
I will just need 2 lines from the compressor. One to the front and one to back. Not sure I want to deal with copper lines :)

I have ARB compressor on my Blazer it has a fill station built in. It came with a 20' hose and works great. It is mounted under the hood and the hose reaches to all 4 tires without any problems. I have been thinking about swapping the compressor and putting it in the jeep.

Why not run air hose 20 ft cheap, easy and room to move around the rig??

i would either run that poly stuff for airbags, or shop air hose. the bigger the better i would think, 3/8" or 1/2". more CFM ya know. if you do use air hose, dont use that $1.99 Harbor Freight crap though. mabey call Industrial Rubber Supply in ElCajon for either polly hose or shop air hose. their a knolegable, helpfull store.  (sorry i dont know the #, call 411)

Te compressor I got is pretty big and does have a tiny tank built in. I will see how it works and go from there. Only real place to mount it is under the bed towards the front. Just need tofab some brackets which should be fun ;)

You could find another tank and mount it up in the bed. Space shouldn't be problem for you.

Defiantly need to keep the bed open for a truck tent although I may do a tool box back there and get a normal tent.

Also the bed fills up quick especially with a 39" spare tire, tools, cooler, and junk.

need to get Bob to build me a bumper/tire carrier. Just not crazy on the idea of a bigass tire out back but it's only logical spot.
