I spent the past week up in Nor Cal running the Rubicon trail with the Toyota Lancruiser association TLCA.  It was an organized run with minimal hold ups due to non 4x4 issues.  I had just finished my rig thanks to Bob at Bengels offroad, Mo down in Costa Messa, and Pablo up in Simi Valley.  Was able to take all the hard lines and flex my way through the obstacles.

If you haven't run this trail it is WELL worth the few days it takes to drive up, run it, camp out, and trek back to So Cal.  It is definitely one of the hardest trails in California and the run is relentless in throwing you obstacle after obstacle in varying forms.  Here are a few pics enjoy!

Wow Sam, you've been a busy boy! That dosnt look like the same rig. the hood fits, head lights and grill installed, moon roof filled, High lift mounted along with the spare, antennas on. Not to mention paint and the snorkle... How knarly is that thing? Im so glad that after all your effort that you were able to make it up there and enjoy it. Oh, and good choice on the sticker.LOL

Sam, I posted some pics of your cage build on the Toyota Tech section.

Sam it looks sick, great job getting it back running again.  Let me know the next time you are down here in the OC.  I would love to see it in person.  Did you drop the lift on it?  It looks much more stable and now.  I thought you cut the roof off but I see its back on what gives?  Again, hats off to you man, great job!!

Thanks for all the kind words guys.  It couldn't have been possible w/out the B2 and B3.  I'm looking forward to getting more work done soon.

Tare, the spacing has be removed so the truck sits about 1.75" lower.  She is WAY more stable and the roof was cut off completely, but I ended up running across a full roof and windshield setup from TLC.  I'm hoping to make a run locally sometime soon hopefully you can roll out and join the fun

Sam I don?t know how you did it but trail damage looks hella good on your rig.  So you had 1.75-inch spacers all the way around or just on the front?  I cannot remember if you have the Slee 6 inch or 4 inch kit?

I have been on the TLCA run a few times and it's always a good time. How was the Box? Was there a good show? I head up there every year in sept. It is one of my favorite trails in cali.

Newps, the lift was 1.75" in the front and .5 in the rear that was dropped so I'm at 8" with a Slee 6" and 2" Body. I am now having spring retention issues in the rear and eventually will have them in the front once I do the 3-link so I'm leaning towards just doing a coil over setup.  We'll see.

Didn't break the line to go and run lil sluice or other obstacles this time around.  hopefully next year.
