Hey all!
I just found this forum, I spent a couple minutes looking around and I must say that it looks pretty cool. Two months ago I bought my first 4x4, a 1988 Suzuki Samurai. When I bought it, it didn't run. But my dad and I got it running after a little while....And then my (2WD) Toyota truck's clutch was officially done - So I had to spend time in between work and school to put a new clutch in. I finished clutch work on my Toyota recently, so that allows me to get back on my Samurai. ThumbUp

When I bought it, I knew it would be a boat load of work, but only recently did I realize the magnitude of rust on this beast. And I'm going to have to replace the entire interior. So I got a rust free hood since the pics, and a new passenger side fender, I'll have to do some rust work on the floor pan/windshield braces/rocker panels (underneath the door area). Should be a fun project and I look forward to hitting the trails with you guys!

edit: forgot pics!

I'm in PL/OB, I filled out my location (921), but for some reason it doesn't appear below my name? Thank you all for the great welcome! I can't wait till my junk is up and running.
A little back story on the Sami: I bought it from the original owner in March. She was a hippie and overall she didn't really take care of the truck. But I can't complain, and after a couple months of calling her, we finally agreed to a price and I bought it.
Here's a small taster of some of the stickers the PO put on it, I have yet to take them off -- there's even more inside the truck.

Another thing I was wondering about was if anyone on this forum has one of the two piece hard tops up for sale, I found one on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago, but someone else beat me to it... I'll find one sooner or later.

Thanks again for the great welcome and I look forward to hitting the trails with this group!

Thanks once again for the great welcome! As soon as I get done with finals, I can finally get back to work on my Samurai. Thanks to Dave (Hurleyup) for the hard top, it's gonna be sweet when I hit the trails with it on. And thank you to everyone else who has offered to help, I haven't gotten stuck yet, but it's good to know that I can count on some guys who know their shizz. Again, I can't wait to hit the trails with you guys. A great group! punk

I just finished finals today, and I'm so stoked. Looks like I can get back to work on the Zuk, it's been feeling neglected lately. TDay
