And my altinator wire breaking off.  However a quick trail fix with the help of redneck sami and just chad got me on the road and fixed in a hurry.  We also was a family of like 5 or 6 trying to drive a fully loaded mini-van down Split Mountatin Road until they drug the oil pan over a rock ripping a hole it the drain plug.  Luckily, Borter Patrol, SD Sheriff, and State Park Rangers were stopping someone, so Redneck Sami was able to tow the family to help.  So, overall, a great day with little brakedown action.

Well lets see I grenaded my cv joint on the front shaft its shot, I bent my cooling fan on the fan shroud which ripped to peices and I finally ripped my motor mounts all the way which caused the fan to hit.  Without the fan shroud it ran really hot all the way home and now its running rough so I probably blew a head or burnt a valve or something.  My froadin days are done for a long time while save up some money to fix it.

Dave.

Well,
The simple fix would be to pull the motor and swap out the 'burban drive train over to the Jeep.  But if the Jeep is down for the count, lets pull the engine and look into what the problem is.  The plus side is that now it is a little too hot to do a lot of froadin so we have time to tear it apart and fix all the issues. before it cools down enough to do some serious off-roading.

Amazing first run with everybody. To the guys that went, Thank you for all the encouragement. (Especially Taylor for MAKING me go up Diablo Drop-off unassisted!) The 4Runner didn't do too shabby out there for being completely stock but this run had the wife saying things like, "We need to lift your truck..." (God, I love that woman) So overall I'd say it was a complete success. I'm pretty sure I blew a seal on my power steering gear where it connects to the steering column but such is life. Thanks to everyone for making it an awesome day! punk

Here's the link to our pics (the camera died in the middle of sandstone canyon, before the new squeeze attempts, sorry):

Good job.

You'll be surprised what a stock runner can do. Little lift, little bit of tire, disconnect the swaybars, locker or posi in the back, and you can do anything short of the hardcore crawlng out there in the dirt. I take the wife's grocery getter all kinds of places when my truck is down.

Woulda come with y'all for the rest of the day, but been thru that stuff a million times...and I was headed up to some nice refreshing cooler temps.

Ty...I'm impressed.

Except for someone forgetting to put the caliper bolts on a Cherokee! tt2

yeah i really felt like a dummy. the worst part is I gave it a once over before heading out and didnt spot that. at least I had my favorite tool.... bailing wire! we were only stoped for no more than 10 min.

on the positive side there were zero issues with the new lift and it flexes like a champ. thanks for a great day guys!!!!!
