So today Just Chad, 2wdrckcrwlr, 87K5BLAZER and his friend (forgive me, I can't remember names to save my life) met up at the dirt lot by Barrett Youth Camp to air down before tackling Pancake rock.  We ended up meeting another two guys in a green Wrangler ( again, can't remember names) who was trying to get to Corral Canyon but was talked into running with us.  After air down, we headed out to the trail head (which I drove past).  Once on the trail, we had a great time climbing up the trail.  Pancake Rock trail seems to be getting more difficult each time we run it, but it is always fun.  We made it up to Pancake Rock with no major issues (execpt my Jeeps constant need for fluids.  Thanks 87K5BLAZER for keeping me in fluid, I owe you one).  Once up Pancake Rock, we took a little time to enjoy the scenery when another group of wheelers showed up.  They had two CJs, a Toy truck, a Sami, and the mother of all Wagoneers (2.5 ton rocks, 47X21 Pitbulls, 4 linked front and rear, atlas... you know, the usual)  Spent a little time talking jeeps then headed down to the playground for a quick bite to eat and a little more playing.  Once there, we ended up doing a little wrenching on the behemoth (looks like there is a little more to do on that thing).  After that, we headed down which was almost uneventful.  2wdrckcrwlr decided that there wasn't enough drama, so he took it upon himself to jam a small bolder up under his driver side rocker.  A quick tow by Just Chad, and 2wd cleared the rock, he cannot close his door properly, but he cleared it.  After that, we made it down to the dirt lot where we could air up and head home.  I have to say, it was a really fun trip up and down pancake.  Thanks to all that showed up.  I think we did a great job spreading the SCUFF love to some more wheelers.  I hope pics will be posted soon, but I know there wasn't a lot taken as we were busy wheeling.

Had a great time out on the rock, couldn't have asked for a much better day.  The weather was great.  That trail is getting nasty.  But nothing the Blazer couldn't handle.  I ended up bending my rear bumper out at the playground when I came down off a ledge.  Other than that no carnage on the beast.  The only pics I got were of Taylor stuck on the rock.  I guess it's tme to add the other slider. LMAO

No worries on that one.  Didn't know it was off limits.  Wont do it again.  This is too fun of a trail to loose out.

Thanks for letting us know.  That will no longer be a part of any run I am on.  Are all of those bypasses off limits or is it just that one?

you dont really need any signs. in yuma (to stop people from driving where they werent supposed to) we would just pound a few enginere stakes in the ground and people left it alone. we never did say anythign to anybody official. the stakes stayef there for years and after a while you couldnt even tell that vehicles had gone through there before.

i think that its about time we set a date to go out there and do some work on that trail. if we keep talking about it its never gonna get done and then it will be to late and we will find out selves locked out of that trail.

my vote is some time before then end of the month. i know it will be hot but its got to get done.

That sounds good Mike. I also wouldn't mind taking a push broom, large dust pan and some trash bags to clean up some glass and trash that has been left by other wheelers up on the rock. Also to get rid of the fire ring that someone thought was a good idea. Really people? The area is surrounded by dry brush and don't you remember the fires we had in 2007? Camping

Just to keep from going too far off topic, I suggest some one set a date and post a run for a trail clean up day.  Hopefully then we will get a little more support for it.
