So I opened the can and found this in a 12 bolt Chevy rear end. Is this a stock posi traction unit or something else? It looks a lot like the auburn to me? Any guesses from the Chevy guru's?

Looks like the Coperate GovLoc to me.  From what I understand about them, they act like a limited slip diff.  Not the best but they can last a while if you take it easy.

CONFIRMED... Auburn Pro series Posi-traction (red springs) Auburn Standard unit has yellow springs  TDay

Anyone here have experience with the auburn posi units? Pros cons? I remember when this rear end was in the vehicle, it was always churping whenever it was turned quickly. That locked up sound. I think its a tight one. Now to see what is in the 12 bolt under the Jeevy.
