Just curious if anyone has visited the new trails as of late? Are they being worked by other groups? Anything need to be done or improved? I hope to get the rig up and running here in the next week or so. Was wondering if there was any interest in a shake down run and a quick look-see at the trail? Say the weekend of Sept. 4th. If its too hot we will leave the tools in the trucks... If not maybe a little work if we feel like it. Do a pot luck bbq in the camp grounds afterward, or?

I took the wife and kids up there this last Saturday to do some campin. We went and walked the first half of 11A. It looked O.K. There are still some tire poppers layin around and a couple of weeds growin down the center of the trail but there were fresh tire tracks and some good rubber on the rocks so its being used. The weather was pretty hot during the day mid 90's or so but in the evening around 4:30 or 5:00 it was pretty nice and the night time was perfect for camp fire in shorts and a new SCUFF t-shirt. Maybe an evening clean-up then bar-b-q then night wheelin trip.
Dave.

I was thinking a trail maintenence day was well over due. This would also be a great shakedown for the Jeevy, so I am down.

I've got a couple of calls into Richard Tull as far as what they need done. I would like to wait till after Labor Day to go up there and do some work. That way we can have all the forms up there.
My guess is that Bronco Peak is going to need a trash detail for clothes and water bottles left behind from the illegals and most likely the fire rings at the campgrounds will need some work

Yeah the whole place needs a trash detail. I did my normal pick up as i go routine and ended up with 5 bud light cans and a few dixie cups just from the tower road and the eastern loop by bobcat meadows. Not to mention the campgrounds!!! Seems like I find trash everytime I go up there.

actually I was more interested in just getting out of town for a bit and do more of a survey run to se what needs to be done... maybe not actually do it. I just want top put a few miles on the rig and make sure it is going to run ok, Bag the work until its official.
