Well I haven't touched my jeep in 3 months now except for driving and putting gas in it.. lol

My friend daniel whos dad has a body shop and painted my jeep in trade for installing a front long travel suspension on this truck decided to go on with a full build, so we started building.  Been kinda nice building it at his dads body shop, lots of room and right by the beach.  Well anyways we plan on racing this truck in the near future so it has to be build to follow rules.

The cage work on the interior is mostly 4130 chromo and the bracing and the rest of the tube work is DOM all 1 3/4" .120.  Gonna be a nice DD and race truck when all done.  Still got lots of work to do, but figured you guys would like to see pics.  I know it isn't 4x4 but still fun.

We did the truss and prebent it before welding so with the heat warpage it would go straight

After the cage was all tacked we dropped it through the floor and I welded it all up 360

Interior cagework done for the most part.

weld shot

We have the bedcage almost done.  I'll get some more pics up

No not linking it.  Using All Pro Baja leafs.  We got 20" travel metal to metal.  Heres what weve been up too on the rear.

Truck has been coming along.  Both my friend daniel and i go to school full time and work so we try to fit this in on our spare time.  Shooting to have it done for the DRIVE race on the 23rd.  Ordered all the gears and stuff from ProGear.  Got the truck wired and plumbed friday night and started it up.  Sounds real good with a flowmaster race muffler too!  Well heres some pics.  maybe see some of you guys out in the desert

Heres some pics of the front end.

Heres some pics of the disc brake setup.  We used chevy rotors, and calipers and dana 44 caliper mounts that we machined thinner for bearing preload, and had to drill 2 holes.

He got 35's for $50 than we mounted them by hand.  (took a big friend lol)

Hopefully we will drive it next weekend

This truck is done.  Finished it a few weeks ago.  Heres some pics.  So far its been a fun truck with no problems besides a leaking rear axle seal that we fixed.

That's the way to build a truck, with pics to prove it works. Awesome job. Got any video of that truck in action.
