Wish I could make this one, but after eye surgury, my Docs don't want me getting dirty.  They wouldn't even let me run on the beach.

Went out and did some trail clearing today on trail 911B at the southern end. Bo Neece and company pulled stumps via the winch and chain, worked very well... punk I trimmed and grommed the ground ahead of them.. Hiked the trail in about 500ft. one obstacle after the next with lines from mild to wild  punk I can see this is going to be my new favorite  clap sorry didn't bring the camera. so this is all I took.

Yeah, that is just one rock face approx 25' to the top at 35-40 degrees.. there are several of these large rock formations.  punk  We could tip toe throught  the trail the way it is.. but there's a big chance for tire punctures.. The large brush has been cut and not straight.. worst part is they are growing back, some are two feet tall.. just from a few months ago  taz

At $800 a tire I can wait or ride with you. scooter Can't be steeper than the hard line up to Pancake rock, I was told after I got to the top it was about 50 deg. Looks like fun, any more pics of going up that rock?
I am going to Truckhaven Oct 22-24 ( still have not hooked up the power steering )

the hard line at pancake rock is only 35 degrees. the easy line is 20. during the BBQ trip we had out there i had an angle finder in the truck. they look likea  lot more. we were all suprised to see those numbers.

i cant wait to get out there and try those new trails. im glad that most of those tire poppers will be taken care of by the time im done.  TDay

mike, you headin up for the nov 7th clean up too?

Are you sure about that 35 deg #? I am talking about the far, far line down the hill past the bushes that does not look like a trail.

i didnt believe it either. or the 20* on the other side. they both seem alot steeper. the most a highway will got is about 8-10 degrees. and thats a really steep road through the mountains with lots of warnings.

carry an angle finder in your tool bag in the truck when you go wheelin. you'll be suprised at what the angles really are.
