Your right mostly chief, that's why they keep running (unlike some big rigs) but they do need a little oil every now and then. LMAO Cheers ThumbUp

Wow, That seems like a lot of oil for a toy.

I looked at a friends 91 toy 22re to day,the dip stick had the same # as mine but his dip stick tube was about 2 inches smaller then mine.  Is any one has about the same year as mine(oct 85 so it should be an 86) let me know the size of the tube from the block to the top of the tube, mine was about 10 inches if yours is smaller don't worry i wont make fun of you. LMAO ThumbUp Cheers clown 1eye

Ok just checked mine tube and it's 7 3/4 in.  The dipstick is 14 1/4 in. from the tip to where it seats at the top of the tube. So it looks like you need to  "think with your dipstick jimmy"  and get a longer dipstick.  TDay  LMAO  clown

2wd dipstick probably in a 4wd pan.  Its a common thing to see.   But yes it should take no more than 5.5 quarts with a filter change.       I'd go junk yard hunting.
