Hey guys.

Seeing a previous post regarding a tranny now the same question for a transfer case, mine slips out of 4low and has a bad bearing for the front d-shaft and im pretty much sure the chain is bad, so where to go??

I'd call border parts in spring valley.  I know they do axles and i'd bet they do t-cases too.

 Agree  Border Parts is awesome.  The only thing with them is that you have to remove the transfer case and then take it to them.  They will fix it up and then you have to re-install it.  They do great work at reasonable prices and I have been very happy with their customer service.

Wow a lotta love for border parts..haha i will give them a call.

Its an np208 been told its not that hard but ive never done it before and frankly theres no one here near me who knows about it that could guide me.. how much are they charging for axles??? i want to take my damn welded locker out

The transfer case wasn't that hard to remove. I would recommend having a friend help you remove it. Use a tranny jack to help but be advised that it's mounted kinda odd and will probably tilt over when unbolted. It takes a 1 1/8 inch socket to remove the drain plug. If you don't drain it, expect a LARGE spill. It will take 5 quarts of Dex-III fluid to refill it when you reinstall it. My t-case was rebuilt before I bought it. I bought used Detroit Lockers from San Diego Gear and Axle in El Cajon. They did the install  and also put in new seals. They were VERY REASONIBLE when I got the final bill. They get my recommendation.  Cheers Thanks
