Hey guys been a member for a couple of months i think and havent posted any of my wild upgrades haha clown

SO it all started when i got back from last years baja 1k race my power steering pump and my steering box were leaking like hell so i searched and found a farily newish steering box for $80 and then went pnline to speedwaymotors.com and bought a reservoir can and clamp around $35 still need the pump and hoses....

So it started with me  lossening the steering gear bolts then the clamp bolt on the steerig shaft after i wasnt able to collapse it and i didnt want to smack it hard never know what can get dmaged in dide the cabs portion so i decided to knock the pitman arm of tapping it a bit up and down then removing the steering gear's bolt and down it went my surprise when i saw this on the frame, no crack though

Then i went to a local junk yard near my parents house and got me 3 XJ shafts one of wich have a lil play in one end but the other one seems ok

Next with the steering gear box off i tapped the stock steering shaft out but i noticed that if you pull hard enough you might bring everything out or so it seemed to me so i was carefull.....then cleanned the pitman arm and the xj shaft and the rain came and i got hungry so came inside had some soup and some chicken qesadillas next step is to grind the end for the steering wheel coumn and drill the center hole to fasten it and install hope it turns out good.

Pound that frame back somewhat flat and pick a C-Rok Frame plate made for XJs. I had one on mine. Along with 1/4 inch bumper mounts its almost half inch of steel bracing where the box mounts.
