A quick trip to the desert to test the new Hankook Dynapro ATMs in sand after a great test in snow and mud last Saturday! We were able to do all the sand driving at 35 psi and even in 2WD on the sand plateau at Devil's Slide. I was very happy with the performance in the dunes and when I tried climbing the loose sand slope. We then drove to the top of the mountain for lunch:

Next we drove over to Shell Reef and on down Tarantula Wash to Gas Dome Trail to the Gas Domes:

Beyond the road continues south to the Artesian Well...

The Artesian Well was a oil drilling project in the early 1920's that hit hot water 4,000 feet down! Only the well head and some metal debris remains. Palms were planted.

The desert is less than 2 hours away and makes for some great dirt runs!
