Enjoy the photos and details from our group trip to Baja's Mision Santa Maria, last May (2010). 3 Tacomas, 1 4Runner, 1 Dakota and 1 custom 4WD motorhome with front and rear lockers take on the toughest road in Baja!

Other than Neal's differential exploding and a couple of flats the trip was event-free ie. perfect.

No political or drug problems, as with all my trips to Baja (since the 1960's). I refuse to let the media control my enjoyment of life...

Crime is everywhere, and we are not going to lock ourselves in our homes everytime someone is robbed or shot in San Diego or Los Angeles, right?

Use common sense and avoid the drug business. Now, how about some four wheel drive talk???

De nada! I have a few amigos who were off road racers too, and they are now learning to enjoy seeing what they used to fly right by! I was involved in the sport in the late 70's and early 80's (I was a co-driver in the '79 Baja 1000, and a pit captain at several races).

I recommend BajaNomad.com forums for the most Baja in one place... trip reports, historic interests, photos, info. Run by a friend in San Diego area who discovered Baja because his dad invented TRICK Racing Fuel and they would go to Ensenada for the races as sponsors.

My web site http://VivaBaja.com has a lot of trip info, photos, links to off road Baja sites.

Enjoy!

I would like to hear more about that! Sounds like you went down the Pacific coast then back out to Hwy. 1 just north of Catavi?a?
